Strategic Initiative 1: Supporting Faculty Development

Objectives

Create a peer mentoring and leadership development platform.

  • Launch online and in-person mentoring circles.
  • Provide shadowing and leadership development workshops.

Advocate for increased funding and scholarships

  • Engage in legislative advocacy for nursing education funding.
  • Continued opportunity to advocate for IBHE Fellow Scholarship to maximize its utility and reduce barriers.

Strategic Initiative 2: Fostering Curricular Innovation

Objectives

Facilitate inter-institutional collaboration

  • Share best practices and resources for curriculum redesign.
  • Promote interprofessional education forums.

Develop a resource hub for AI use in nursing education

  • Provide guidelines, case studies, and training modules.
  • Address ethical concerns and promote responsible use.
  • Provide resource referrals (e.g., AACN and NL) on our website.

Strategic Initiative 3: Enhancing Academic–Practice Partnerships

Objectives

Collaborate with stakeholders to create a statewide coalition to address clinical placement challenges

  • Collaborate with state-wide clinical partners to create a working group of faculty and health-care clinical educators to better understand each other’s challenges and explore possible solutions

Advance sustainable academic–practice partnerships that enhance workforce development, optimize clinical education infrastructure, and promote innovative, data-informed policies to strengthen the nursing pipeline and improve care delivery.

  • Explore equitable payment models.
  • Improve site-faculty alignment and placement logistics.
  • Advocate for preceptor tax credits.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of academic–practice collaborations.
